About the event
This exceptional evening reunites Jim Bernau, founder of Willamette Valley Vineyards, with Joe Dobbes—who served as Winemaker at Willamette Valley Vineyards from 1996 to 2001 before launching Dobbes Family Estate and Wine By Joe in 2002. In 2019, Joe went on to establish Iterum Wines, continuing his legacy of innovation and craftsmanship.
Together, Jim and Joe have played pivotal roles in shaping the success, growth, and trajectory of Oregon winemaking. Their combined influence- spanning vineyard development, cellar innovation, brand building, and decades of mentorship- has left an unmistakable mark on the Oregon wine industry and helped elevate its global reputation.
This Legacy Dinner marks the first time these two visionary leaders come together publicly to share their wines, their stories, and the history they helped create.
